How to Install the MaxWinAI Chrome Extension

MaxWinAI is installed from a zip file instead of the Chrome Web Store. It takes about two minutes.

Install in 7 steps

1. Download the zip file with the button above, or from the link in your purchase email.
2. Extract the zip. Windows: right-click the file and choose Extract All. Mac: double-click it. Move the extracted folder somewhere permanent, such as Documents. Do not delete or move this folder later, Chrome runs the extension from it.
3. Open a new tab and go to chrome://extensions. Edge: edge://extensions, Brave: brave://extensions.
4. Turn on Developer mode with the switch in the top-right corner.
5. Click Load unpacked and select the extracted folder (the one that contains manifest.json).
6. Click the puzzle icon in the toolbar and pin MaxWinAI so its icon is always visible.
7. Click the MaxWinAI icon, enter the email address you paid with and click Activate.

How to update

When a new version is out, the extension shows a New version available banner.

1. Download the new zip and extract it.
2. Replace the files in your existing MaxWinAI folder with the new ones.
3. Go to chrome://extensions and click the reload icon (↻) on the MaxWinAI card.

Your license and session history are kept.

Troubleshooting

• “Manifest file is missing or unreadable”
  You selected the wrong folder. Select the folder that directly contains manifest.json, not the folder above it or the zip file itself.
• “Disable developer mode extensions” warning
  Chrome shows this for every extension not installed from the Web Store. It is safe to close it, keep the extension enabled.
• The extension disappeared
  The folder was moved or deleted. Put it back, or extract the zip again and repeat step 5.
• License not activated
  Use the exact email address from your purchase. If it still fails, write to us at maxwinslotai@gmail.com.
